"I didn't say it'd be a deal break," he answers with a grin, then dips his head so he can kiss her. The elevator isn't the proper place to start something like this, but she's beautiful and she wants him, and he figures if he keeps it strictly to a kiss until they're actually inside her place, they're in the clear.

If anyone has a problem with it, he can remind them he's the law, so he can kiss a pretty lady in an elevator if he wants to. No one's going to come and arrest him for that.
