It's never really happened to him before, if only because everyone knew everyone in Ogden Marsh and if someone wanted to give a statement to a cop they knew well, it was easy. Darrow is different and if being here makes it easier for Molly to remember all the details, he'll listen. He knows it'll be terrible, that he won't want to hear it, but that's his job, not just as a cop, but as her friend. She needs him to be here and he can do that.
