It's actually kind of familiar, Molly realizes fairly quickly as she listens to Kara speak, reminiscent of Lee's demeanor a year ago when most of the city's occupants vanished and she was the only person left at City Hall. These circumstances are infinitely more terrifying, but just as there was then, there's something bizarrely comforting about it. The last thing she wants is to stand around helpless and afraid. No matter how much shit she's been through here, though, she's not accustomed enough to dealing with this sort of thing to always get there on her own, without some kind of prompting. Kara is right about one thing, anyway, and Molly can't ignore it: they don't have much time.

"The churches should be safe," she says, nodding in turn for Kara to lead the way. "I can get us there after. There's one not too far." At least it's one thing she can fucking do, rendering her probably not completely useless. If they can get into the gun store that Kara has mentioned, that will be even better. Between the two, she might actually start to feel a little safer. Only after speaking does Kara's question really sink in, and Molly tries not to let it worry her too much. "If Lee's here, I haven't seen him."

God, she hopes he isn't. She doesn't need him to get through this — she wouldn't want to need him to get through this — and she'd much rather run the risk of him thinking she's gone than have him have to deal with any of this. She's grateful not to be on her own, she is, but she wouldn't wish this on anyone, either.
